In Madden 07 there was a studio-wide line look that we had to work within while designing all screens. I worked with another artist to design the player module for the player management type screens and I was in charge of implementing and animating all the designs into the game for these screens. I also implemented all the core component art including the spreadsheet and the RStick Pane.
I was responsible for giving play call for Madden 07 a face lift and implementing all the new art for it. We were also able to work with production to show the game running in the background instead of an animated interface background which saved us more memory.
I designed the ticker and implemented all the art and animations for it. I was challenged to reproduce the jumbotron light effects that we were using in the front end without using as much memory. I was able to pull off the desired effect using less than a quarter of the memory size of the front end treatment.
